spring hangers

Hi all..first I would like to say that I have not had the time to be on the computer to just surf around and having just also worked out how to further navigate around this site I found out that there was a lot more replies to a prior post of mine in Oct.2011 that were not acknowledged by myself so I wish to apologise to and thank john and val , filosoph , alby and motherhen for their input..and the trouble gone to in order to post Alby's photos..which I found very informative...good set up Alby....
now onto my issue re: spring hangers...I am purchasing a set of greasable spring hangers due to thinking that it must surely reduce wear on the bushes ?...my question is..what would be the best type of grease to use...normal ..graphite or other ?...cheers

I use normal bearing Grease, Had a look at how the grease goes to the bush/bearing from the grease nipple and I wonder how the grease ever gets there.

I use what ever is close by. I have used graphite grease and bearing grease on springs and wheel bearings for 50 years and never had a problem with either.

he handbook in my car recommends a lithium based multipurpose or chassis grease for the upper arm suspension bushes. The car has rubber bushes but I would say the same book covers other models with metal bushes. That is what I would use in your car.

Don't use high temperature wheel bearing grease. It has no water resistance which is why 4wd manufacturers usual specify a lithium based wheel bearing grease.
